5. Old Business:
Security- Ron Coker reminded the Homeowners the following:

6. New Business: (topics submitted prior to the meeting)

Activity in the Subdivision- Ron read through agenda items submitted for the meeting:

" Trash- A question was asked about the amount of trash being left at the road in plastic bags and the Board was asked to require rental homes to have 3 trash cans. Ron responded that the Board did not have the authority to do this. Eric Wilson with the COG announced the City now had plenty of cans for any homeowner who wanted more than one. More discussion followed about dumpsters and contactors dumping trash under houses. Homeowners were encouraged to report these problems to the GPD non emergency number (409) 765-3702.

Beach Renourishment- Ron announced Mary Jan Lantz had written a $1.5 million CEPRA Cycle 6- Beach Renourishment and Dune Restoration grant for BB that had been approved by the GLO. He explained that the 6 mile project that will begin at the Seawall and extend west would take place first. If there were any funding issues with this project the BB CEPRA grant would ensure that the BB renourishment and dune restoration would be completed. He said the Board was also going to research the use of these funds for other projects (like walkovers).

7. Guest Speakers:

He announced all new homes south of FM 3005 will be required to have grinder pumps and all existing homes on Jane and John Reynolds Circle would be required to put in grinder pumps because the current sewer line would be disconnected. These homeowners will be receiving this notice from the City.

He said the City Council had approved $1.6 million for projects like the rebuilding of Bermuda Beach Drive and for tree replanting and the Buy-Out program. He went on to say John Reynolds Rd and Jane and John Reynolds Circle would be repaved and that he believed the beach renourishment project will begin in March 2010.

He told the homeowners that it is very important that they report all crimes or suspicious activity and ongoing patrol funding for the west end neighborhoods comes from these activity reports. Always call 911 for emergencies, (409) 765-3702 for non-emergencies, or if you do not get a response call his personal cell number of (409) 765-3609, fax number is (409) 765-3610. His office is now in the Justice Center but will be getting an office at 12 mile Rd.

He said not to get frustrated with all the questions asked by the dispatcher, to be patient and answer each question. He said all these calls are logged and tracked including calls as small as dumping of trash. He said please don't be a target by leaving valuable items in plain view. He said they are working on a newsletter for the homeowners. He encouraged the homeowners to report any problems they have with the officers by calling and asking for a supervisor. This is the only way he can resolve any issues.

8. Member Voting- Ron explained the need for the changes to the By-Laws so that the homeowners on the front row that could not rebuild their homes could be released from their HOA dues and participate in the City buy-out program.

9. Adjournment of Annual HOA Meeting- Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 12:15pm.
