STATUS OF IKE DAMAGED HOMES

A FEW DEED RESTRICTION REMINDERS

Prior to September 13, 2008 this coastal community consisted of 138 single family residences and 52 vacant lots. Two City streets, Bermuda Beach Drive and John Reynolds Rd paralleled 3100 feet of beach front. The Pabst Rd. public access area offered on the beach parking and boat launching.

Post Ike

Bermuda Beach Dr was totally destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Nineteen homes were totally washed away from the seaward side of the road. Access to the remaining homes on the landward side of Bermuda Beach Dr is by a temporary road on the beach that is currently marked by posts. On the beach parking at Pabst Rd has been tripled. No home survived the seaward side of Bermuda Beach.

Highway 45 S. to 61st. Exit
Turn Right onto 61st. and go to the Seawall.
Turn Right onto Seawall Blvd. (aka: FM3005)
Proceed 6.5 miles West of the 61st you'll see Pabst Rd on the Left and the BB sign
Turn Left onto Pabst Rd.
